Steel Inclusion Rating System

Inclusion Rating system, Clemex CIR, allows laboratories and steel mills to vastly improve their productivity by automatically analyzing inclusion with impressive speed and accuracy. Clemex CIR allows users to analyze up to 24 samples from multiple heats in the same run within a few minutes. Clemex Inclusion Rating can analyze any size area including the standard 160 mm² as required by ASTM and 200mm by ISO, in less than 3 minutes. Clemex CIR software can automatically find the physical edge of each sample to create patterns that cover surface area. Clemex CIR also displays a multi-field map of detected inclusions for each sample making it easier to validate results. The operator can switch from one sample map to another quickly and easily since the positions and types of each inclusion are in memory.

Within the same analysis, Clemex’s steel inclusion rating software detects sulfides (A), aluminates (B), silicates (C), globular oxides (D), single globular (DS) types (ISO 4967) and complex inclusions (XxCN).

Clemex CIR supports Steel Inclusion Standards such as ASTM E45-05 (A, C, D, E), ISO 4967, DIN 50602 (M, K), JIS G 0555 and coming soon the EN 10247. See Robust Reporting Features for more details.

Auto-Exposure With our new Auto-Expose feature, no need to adjust the shutter speed slider manually. Simply click on Auto, and you get a perfect exposure.
Fast analysis This screen capture was taken during the analysis of a sample area of 176 µm. A clock was added during the analysis and all aspects were captured in real-time. The 176 µm sample area was analyzed in less then 2 minutes!
Automated focusing With CIR there is no need to focus manually. Clemex’s automated focusing offers more precision and speed.
Traceable Inclusions Once your samples are analyzed, all inclusions’ positions are held in the system’s memory. With a simple click on the inclusion map, CIR move the stage to the selected sample’s field and displays all inclusions in that particular field.
No lost inclusions between fields Unlike the competition, all inclusions located in more than one field are taken in consideration during the analysis.
Automatic pattern creation With its automated sample-edge detection, CIR can create your pattern and the amount of fields necessary in order to abide by the method used (ASTM 180 µm2 or ISO 200 µm2).

Heats and Samples Clemex CIR can handle up to 6 heats with 6 samples each, giving you a total of 24 samples per run. More info...
User defined pattern With its user-friendly interface, Clemex CIR allows you to create patterns manually in a matter of seconds.
Saving and loading existing patterns No need to create patterns that are similar over and over again. This feature is extremely useful for users who analyze the same kind of areas repeatedly. Once a pattern has been created, you can save it and re-load it later for a similar kind of analysis.
Save images During an analysis, the user has the option to save all the images locally for later use.
Run analysis from live or saved images. During an analysis, users now have the option to save captured images. This is useful to preserve the images or to run an analysis from loaded images.
Compatible with any microscopes One major advantage of using Clemex CIR is the fact that it is compatible with almost any microscope on the market. In effect, your existing microscope can be converted by adding the Clemex Microscope Stage Controller. So before buying a new microscope, contact us and see if we can upgrade your existing system.
Multi-plate detection For those who have multi-plate samples, this feature is very useful. It eliminates the black areas between plates, in effect excluding them as inclusions.
Integrated report generation All reports are available once the analysis is done.
Exportable results to Excel Results can be exported to Excel and customized to user preferences.
