Fiber Count Analysis by Phase Contrast Microscopy
When evaluating the concentration of airborne asbestos fibers collected on membrane filters, the Clemex PSFilter is the perfect tool to automated the process of fibers counting.
Conventionally, all asbestos fibers longer than 5 mm, wider than 0.25 mm and of aspect ratio of 3:1 or greater are enumerated. However
depending of the method followed (NIOSH 4700, OSHA, IRSST, ISO etc...) these parameters differ and are entirely adjustable.
Our microscopy systems are stable, reliable, and, once installed, will consistently return accurate and reproducible results. The Clemex PSFilter System will count Asbestos fibers using Phase Contrast Illumination and the software will determine the fiber density.
