Manual Microscope Stages
A manual microscope stage is the mechanical platform that holds your specimen and lets you move it precisely in X and Y by hand, using coaxial control knobs. Two types of manual stages
Classical positioning stages
Classical manual stages are purely mechanical: they hold the specimen and let you reposition it smoothly in X and Y, but they do not report the sample's coordinates. They are the everyday workhorse for viewing and for large-area work, with travel ranges available up to 300 × 300 mm. On larger models, a patented quick-adjustment allows fast, economical repositioning.
Measuring stages
Measuring stages add an integrated length-measuring system so you can take true XY dimensional measurements of the specimen, not just move it. They are typically used on measuring microscopes and profile projectors. On long-travel models, a patented coarse/fine adjustment makes precise positioning easier.
