Version 10.2 · October 28, 2024
Released October 28, 2024
Version 10.2 of Vision introduces a set of bug fixes. Notably,
-
In Vision, the team fixed a set of data integrity issues where calibration of a saved image would change and also where the scale bar length could not be adjusted.
-
A major change is introduced to CIR inclusions classifications where some type C inclusions are wrongly classified as Type B. All user installing this version will have the new behaviour. To disable it add the ASTME45Strict=0 in CIR.ini
-
In previous algo, roughness could introduce ambiguity in classification between Type B and Type C inclusions, as it was not representative enough.
-
In the new algo, aspect ratio has become one of the main critical parameters. This focus on aspect ratio allows for a clearer differentiation based on the shape and alignment of the inclusions as described in ASTM E45.
-
By prioritizing morphology, the algorithm is more robust and less susceptible to variations in surface characteristics.
-
A work was also done on stringers definition in the algo in order to ensure reliability between Type B and Type D as well.
-

Version 10.1.200 · July 8, 2024
Released July 8, 2024
Version 10.1.200 of Vision, CIR and CMT is a micro-release that introduces a set of bug fixes and stability improvement mainly to Vision and CIR. Notably:
-
The Vision scale bar had an issue where when loading an image after saving the scale bar could not be edited. There was also a related issue when a large mosaic image was saved and loaded, the calibration factor got corrupted. This was fixed as well.
-
In CIR there was an issue in unlaminated or mildly laminated steel with sulfides of aspect ratio < 3 (i.e. not elongated) were detected but not taken into account in classification ISO 4967. Because ISO 4967 does not specify the aspect ratio from which inclusion should be taken into account, the minimum aspect ratio is now set to a value that classifies most sulfides morphologies.
-
A number of instabilities and causes crashes in CIR, CMT and Vision were also fixed.
Bug Fixes
-
Vision : Help file not found error but file is present (REX branch only)
